25 random things about me!

Well - I was tagged by like 5 people so far so I figured I better so this. If these get lame I apologize. 25 is a lot to come up with.

1. Sometimes I am truly amazed by how blessed I truly am.

2. I have an INCREDIBLE husband that I have been married to for more than eight and a half years. I can't believe he has stuck with me this long. I can be pretty difficult!

3. We are expecting our first child in less than 6 weeks. A little boy named Everett Andrew. I hope he looks like his daddy!

4. My best friend lives a few states away. I use to fear that the distance would put a dent in that relationship, but it has actually gotten better and better.

5. I have 2 dogs that are both considered geriatric. One is now gimpy and we call her our 3 legged doggy. The other is over 11 and everyday I return home from work I fear that she will not come running.

6. I have this insane need to make everything organized and clutter free. I am a planner and a preparer. The fact that I don't know the exact day and time of Everett's arrival is driving me nuts. I want to plan for it and can't!!!

7. I went back to college thinking that I would find some career that I would love more than cosmetology. I was wrong. I am now a cosmetologist with a bachelors degree in math and business. I am even considering getting my masters after the baby comes, but I can't justify it since I know I won't use it.

8. I LOVE my job. I have great clients and great co-workers. I work for myself, so my boss is pretty much the best boss ever. I make my own hours and my own rules. Could it get better than that?

9. I have an older brother that I am so proud of. I brag about him to my clients all of the time. He is an incredible husband, father and minister. Oh yeah did I mention that he is currently working on his PHD? Like I said. He is AWESOME!!!

10. I can not wait to see James and Everett together. I just know he is going to be an incredible father and can't wait to witness it. He is so excited for Everett to come. Even more than me if that is possible.

11. I use to think that Facebook was lame but now spend an insane amount of time on it. It's addictive!

12. My favorite food is fruit. Almost any kind will do. Most of the time I prefer it over desserts!

13. I HATE to own the same car for more than 2 years. It's a sickness really. Once we hit that 2 year mark I just feel the need to get a new car and I usually do. Which means we will ALWAYS be upside down on my cars!

14. I am half Chinese and sometime wish I were more. I wish I knew more about the Cantonese culture and knew how to speak more than a few words. I don't mind being white. I just sometimes think it would be cool!

15. I have amazing friends here in Dallas. They are my family away from family. James and I could never get by without them.

16. I think I might be the only person in the world left that doesn't have the internet on my phone. I am just too cheap to pay for it.

17. I will never understand how people can claim that an unborn child is not a life. There is a heartbeat at 8 weeks!! Especially those that think partial-birth abortion is ok. WHY? If you already have to deliver the baby just give it up for adoption. Killing is is unnecessary and disgusting! I am not just saying this because I am pregnant. I have always felt this way.

18. I have no sense of style. Seriously NONE. I can not dress myself properly or decorate my house well. I have to rely on the eye of others for those things.

19. I really don't like "reality" shows. I don't watch Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Survivor or The Bachelor. I can however watch the Biggest Loser every now and then. Definitely not more than 2 weeks in a row, but every now and then if there is nothing else on I will watch it.

20. I never care what a person's political views are nor so I care who they vote for as long as their decisions are fact based and researched. Nothing bothers me more than the people who make these important decisions just because. Then they complain about the way things are going.

21. I underwent some extremely painful and extensive facial surgery to fix my jaw with no problem and
am not afraid to deliver a possibly 9 lb baby. The needle for the epidural however totally freaks me out!!

22. I use to love working out and had muscles and a six pack. Wonder if I will ever be there again. Considering the fact that you have to work out to get that - probably not. I hate working out now!!

23. I can sleep anywhere! Plane, car, floor, chair or even in the shampoo bowls at work. I have no problem sleeping. I think it might be my favorite thing to do!

24. James and I made a rule that we go on one vacation every year to somewhere we have never been before. We have been able to do it so far. I wonder where we will go next year??

25. I have always been and will always be a tom-boy. I love sports and don't mind getting dirty! It's not my fault. I had brothers. If I wanted to play I had to play what they wanted to play. Which usually consisted of building forts and playing sports.
